12.01.1989: venti anni fa si realizzava un sogno che molti costruttori vorrebbero concretizzare almeno una volta nella storia della loro attività:

“una collaborazione fra concorrenti!”

Dopo anni di discussioni, incontri e opinioni fra i quattro maggiori costruttori Italiani che non avevano portato a nessun risultato concreto, ecco spuntare l’occasione per verificare gli intenti ai quali si aspirava: un grosso contratto di elevato numero di macchine viene concluso dalla ditta OMAB di Almè, nell’allora grande Russia.

Il contratto è di proporzioni gigantesche, talmente grande che è inevitabile per la OMAB richiedere l’aiuto di altri costruttori.

Nello specifico venne scelta la ditta GENINI DI PETOSINO.

Dopo un attento esame sulla fattibilità dell’operazione, viene pianificato il lavoro, studiate le modifiche e le strategie di produzione.

I torni verranno costruiti dalla OMAB srl di Almè mentre le levigatrici verranno costruite dalla GENINI srl di Petosino.

Un’attenta valutazione tecnica permette di produrre le linee con poche modifiche meccaniche ed il tutto viene concluso in tempi brevi.

Si confermava così che:   “la collaborazione è la soluzione ai cambiamenti in atto”.

Questo 20 anni fa!!

Collaboration works… we just need to believe in it!

12.01.1989: twenty years ago a dream that many manufacturers hope to realise at least once in their career was achieved:

 “collaboration between competitors”

After years of discussions, meetings and opinions among the four major Italian manufacturers, which never reached a concrete conclusion, an occasion arose to verify the objectives targeted: a large contract for a huge number of machines was concluded by the company OMAB of Almé, in the then great Russia.

The contract was of enormous proportions, so large that it was inevitable that OMAB had to ask for help from other manufacturers.

More specifically, the company GENINI OF PETOSINO was selected.

After a careful examination of the feasibility of the operation, the work was planned and the production strategies and modifications were studied.

The lathes were manufactured by OMAB srl of Almé while the sanders were built by GENINI srl of Petosino.

A thorough technical assessment resulted in lines being produced with few mechanical adjustments and everything was concluded in rapid time.

It was stated at the time: “collaboration is the solution to ongoing changes”.

All this, 20 years ago!
